AUGUST 2024
Welcome Week 2024
This is a snippet of worship from the night before welcome week kicked off. Normally the students need lots of prompting and encouragement to be this expressive, but God is doing a new thing! Once I saw this I had a sneaky feeling that some things were gonna change around our ministry 😊
Move-in Party. Even in the heat we seek to bless the students with a good time! How off balance it can be for a freshman to be dropped off at school and not know what to get into (and also not really have much at all to get into yet since the school year hasn’t started). Therefore, we like to give them a space to meet people that are ready to show them hospitality and a good time.
(Cha)Rizz(Ma) Class: because UTD students truly don’t know how to initiate and maintain conversation. We spent some time teaching them the basics!
The ending of our 4th Annual Black People Meet and Greet. These are all of our black student leaders this year!! A HUGE uptick in black students leaders = a huge uptick in black students in our ministry! I’m so thrilled!

These clips epitomize what our worship sessions were like at this retreat! A true CHANGE has sparked in our UTD ministry and I’m pretty sure our students have gone from stiff to full blown charismatic! There wasn’t a single song that they weren’t singing their hearts out to
